Are you a dynamic retail leader who loves developing people and driving commercial success? B&M is looking for a hands‑on, commercially astute Regional Operations Manager to lead one of our largest regions; around 100 stores through a team of 7 Area Managers.

You’ll work closely with the senior retail team to deliver operational excellence, maximise sales and profitability, and ensure every customer enjoys the great value and service B&M is known for.

This role covers South West England, South & Mid Wales and requires regular travel.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop 7 Area Managers (plus Garden Centre Operations Manager) across approximately 100 stores.
  • Use data and insight to set priorities, drive performance, and improve efficiency.
  • Deliver on sales, margin, and operational KPIs while maintaining high standards of compliance and service.
  • Champion best practice and ensure consistent store standards and customer experience.
  • Partner with the Retail Director and central teams to implement strategy and new initiatives.
  • Own the full colleague lifecycle and build strong succession plans across the region.

  • Proven experience as a Regional Manager in a fast‑paced, multi‑site retail environment.
  • A strong commercial thinker with the analytical ability to turn data into action.
  • Naturally hands‑on – visible in stores, engaged with teams, and willing to lead from the front.
  • Inspirational leadership style with a track record of developing and empowering high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and organisational skills.
  • Passionate about delivering great retail experiences for both customers and colleagues.
  • The ability to drive sales at all levels.
