The Schools People is a provider of HR & Employment Law Consultancy and DPO Services to Schools, Academies, and Multi Academy Trusts. We also support clients with Occupational Health advice and are launching the Doctor HR service to add further value.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Business Partner in HR & Employment Law, based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, with travel across the North West and wider areas to support clients on-site. The role involves delivering HR and Employment Law consultancy, handling education-specific HR issues. Knowledge of GDPR and Occupational Health management in education is advantageous. The role may also contribute to our DPO and Doctor HR services.

Qualifications

• Strong HR and Employment Law knowledge relevant to the education sector
• Experience with employee relations casework
• Experience working with trade unions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Knowledge of employment law and regulations
• Experience in the education sector
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD) preferred or willingness to pursue CPD
• Knowledge of GDPR/DPO services or Occupational Health advice is advantageous
