Job summary
A leading engineering solutions provider in St Helens is seeking a Maintenance Engineer. You will perform engineering checks, complete PPMs, and respond to breakdowns to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering and experience with conveyors. This role requires working on-site during night shifts.
Qualifications
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
- Experience gained working with conveyors is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Complete nightly engineering checks including fire-watch and machine checks.
- Complete PPMs on systems and machines like conveyors and crushers.
- Report defects and complete work orders/requests.
- React to breakdowns and seek process improvements.

- Complete nightly engineering checks such as, fire-watch checks, guard checks, machine checks, emergency stops
- Complete PPMs on systems and machines (conveyors, crushers, optical sorters, motors)
- Complete work orders / requests and report defects
- Reactive to breakdowns
- Looking for process improvements to reduce downtime on Process / Plant
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering is essential
- Experience gained working with conveyors is highly desirable
Start time: 8pm to 6am or 9pm to 7am (Either)
Working arrangement: Site Based
