Glasgow City Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead the development and delivery of strategic transport projects, helping to shape the future of mobility in our city.
- Lead the planning and delivery of complex transport projects in a dynamic urban environment.
- Ensure alignment with Glasgow's transport strategies and broader policy objectives.
- Oversee multi-disciplinary project teams and consultants.
- Manage budgets, project programmes, risks, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice, including NEC contracts and CDM regulations.
- You will be a confident and strategic thinker with:
- A degree-level qualification in transport planning, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Sound knowledge of transport policy, design standards, and delivery processes.
- Experience of NEC contract management and CDM regulations.
- Strong project and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience delivering strategic transport projects in a complex urban setting is desirable.
The role is based at Glasgow's Exchange House and is part of our hybrid working pilot. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a generous annual leave allowance and participation in the Local Government Pension Scheme based on average earnings.
