Senior Solicitor/Associate – Family Law Location: Hastings, East Sussex

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Solicitor to join a thriving legal practice. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a primary focus on family law and proven expertise in areas such as divorce, financial matters and children proceedings.

The Role

You will:

1. Manage your own client caseload, delivering high-quality legal advice across a range of family law matters
2. Provide guidance on divorce, financial settlements and children proceedings
3. Liaise with administrative teams to ensure seamless service delivery
4. Undertake advocacy work and represent clients effectively
5. Support the development of the Family Law Department
6. Collaborate with marketing efforts to support the practice’s growth strategy
7. Develop and cultivate new client relationships in Hastings and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities

1. Offering expert legal advice with a commitment to best practices
2. Ensuring effective management of client files and deadlines
3. Embracing and learning cloud-based Case Management Systems and digital dictation software
4. Supporting the team and liaising with other departments as needed
5. Leading and completing special projects as required

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

1. At least five years of proven experience in family law
2. Strong professional qualifications in relevant legal areas
3. Exceptional organisational and team management skills
4. Flexibility to manage new projects efficiently and meet objectives
5. A client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills
