You will support the Legal Team's vision to ensure the Council acts lawfully and maintains high standards of governance to achieve its objectives for the local community. • Provide specialist legal advice, representation, and assistance in Housing, Litigation, and Regulatory law.
• Deliver a high-quality legal service to officers, elected Members, and partners.

We are looking for an individual with experience in:

• Regulatory law, including Environmental Health prosecutions and planning enforcement.
• Advocacy in Magistrates Court and County Court.
• Housing and Tenancy law, including possession and disrepair cases.
• Legal sector experience; local government experience is desirable but not essential.
• Qualified Solicitor/Barrister/FILEX with current Practising Certificate.
