Job summary
A specialist legal recruitment agency is seeking a Locum Childcare Lawyer for a full-time role involving predominantly remote work. The ideal candidate will have experience in Local Government and Childcare Law, providing advocacy and advising the Council. This position offers competitive hourly pay up to £60, depending on experience, and is for an initial three-month period with potential for extension. Responsibilities
- Manage a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases.
- Perform own advocacy.
- Advise client departments on complex issues concerning Childcare Law.
- Advise and represent the Council.
- Assist the Council with reputation issues from cases.
Skills
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an established Local Authority in the East Midlands who are recruiting for a Locum Childcare Lawyer to join their legal department.
This is a full-time position and is offered for an initial 3 month period with a possibility of a further extension and will be worked on a predominantly remote basis other than for attendance at court.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within Local Government and Childcare Law and be comfortable to conduct their own advocacy.
Duties may include:
- Managing a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases
- Performing own advocacy
- Advising client departments on complex issues concerning Childcare Law
- Advising and representing the Council
- Advising and assisting the Council in respect of reputation issues arising out of cases, Ofsted inspection, SCR
They can offer up to £60 per hour for this role however the rate offered will depend on the individual experience level of the candidate.
