A respected recruitment agency is assisting a leading London firm in their search for a qualified patent attorney with a background in Chemistry or Pharmaceuticals. The role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and contentious patent matters. Candidates should have up to 4 years of post-qualification experience and a desire to learn from industry leaders.
Qualifications
- Experience of up to 4 years as a qualified patent attorney.
- Technical background in Chemistry or Pharmaceuticals.
- Willingness to work on contentious patent matters.
Responsabilités
- Draft and prosecute patents.
- Work on oppositions and other contentious matters.
- Conduct opinion work regarding patentability and freedom to operate.
- Participate in due diligence processes.

We are pleased to build our long standing relationship with this highly regarded London firm, as they search for a finals standard / fully qualified patent attorney (up to 4 years' post qualification experience).
This position will suit an attorney with a technical background in Chemistry / Pharmaceuticals. This is a rare chance to gain exposure to the contentious side of patents, which is sure to stand you in good stead for the future and work with a variety of interesting clients directly.
Responsibilities and opportunities generally include the following matters. Previous exposure to, or a knowledge of and willingness to work on, the following matters would be advantageous:
- Patent drafting and prosecution
- Oppositions and other contentious matters
- Opinion work (patentability and freedom to operate)
- Due diligence
