Circet UK is currently looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join our team!
The chosen candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimations across a range of projects in the following Business Units:
- Transport Technology
- Fixed Telecoms
- Wireless
- Power
Key responsibilities include:
- Cost Analysis: reviewing and analysing project plans and client requirements/documents to calculate the costs of labour, plant, materials, and project overheads.
- Cost Modeling: using cost modeling techniques to consider the impact of factors such as inflation, exchange rates, and risk on the overall commercial offering.
- Data Gathering: researching costs, obtaining quotes from suppliers, and analysing data to inform estimates and initiate the procurement process.
- Proposal Development: contributing to the development of proposals by providing cost estimates and budget information.
- Cost Tracking and Monitoring: working with Commercial colleagues to review actual costs during the project lifecycle, assisting to ensure that projects stay within budget, and providing insights into future bids.
- Risk Assessment: assessing potential risks to the project.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Industry applicable qualification
- 2+ years of experience estimating within the telecoms/utilities/construction industry
- Knowledge and practical application of planning, construction/telecoms activities, and contracts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and commercial insight
