An opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join a regional, prestigious main contractor based in the Oxford area, working on a full time, permanent basis.
You will be joining a dynamic and experienced team with over 20 years experience in the areas of heritage, residential, commercial and sustainable build, playing a key role in preparing project cost estimates and supporting the delivery of high-quality construction projects.
Our clients administrated construction contracts range from multi-million pound new builds to large-scale high specification extensions, renovations, refurbishments and conversions.
Estimator Duties:

  • Responsible for PQQs
  • Estimating the cost of materials, labor, equipment, transport, and subcontractors for construction projects.
  • Tender submissions
  • Liaising with and working alongside colleagues from the commercial, planning and operational departments.
  • Cost Control & Analysis.
Estimator Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years within an Estimator position
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Full driving licence
  • Knowledge of traditional building methods and products associated with the refurbishment of listed buildings, in particular heritage residential properties.
  • Experience of health and safety management.
  • Competent IT skills (including Microsoft Office package)
  • Knowledge of building contracts (including JCT products) and tendering procedures.
