Circet UK is currently looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join our team!


The chosen candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimations across a range of projects in the following Business Units:


  • Transport Technology
  • Fixed Telecoms
  • Wireless
  • Power

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cost Analysis: reviewing and analysing project plans and client requirements/documents to calculate the costs of labour, plant, materials, and project overheads.
  • Cost Modeling: using cost modeling techniques to consider the impact of factors such as inflation, exchange rates, and risk on the overall commercial offering.
  • Data Gathering: researching costs, obtaining quotes from suppliers, and analysing data to inform estimates and initiate the procurement process.
  • Proposal Development: contributing to the development of proposals by providing cost estimates and budget information.
  • Cost Tracking and Monitoring: working with Commercial colleagues to review actual costs during the project lifecycle, assisting to ensure that projects stay within budget, and providing insights into future bids.
  • Risk Assessment: assessing potential risks to the project.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Industry applicable qualification
  • 2+ years of experience estimating within the telecoms/utilities/construction industry
  • Knowledge and practical application of planning, construction/telecoms activities, and contracts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and commercial insight
