Based in Kendal working in lovely offices that are very accessible, with an added bonus of free parking, offering a very flexible way of working and development of your career.
The role will involve managing a team of accountants that are responsible for the delivery of services to a portfolio of clients. Tasks will include planning workload (self-assessment tax returns, year-end company accounts and corporation tax returns), liaising with clients and answering technical queries, reviewing work, answering technical questions and providing an all-round service going above and beyond for clients.
What you'll be doing:
Ensure accounting team meets monthly KPIs (bank reconciliations, VAT & payroll).
Preparation of self-assessment tax returns.
Providing personal & corporate tax advice.
Preparation of annual accounts.
Dealing with HMRC in regards to queries and correspondence.
Customer service – answering telephone calls and emails and dealing with queries and complaints.
Promote quality of service delivered to clients for retention and growth.
Report to managers & senior managers on personal and team performance.
