Job Description

Financial Reporting Accountant

Alpine F1 Team have an opportunity to join our Team as a Financial Reporting Accountant within our site in Enstone, Oxfordshire. This role will provide support to ensure key financial close and day to day activities are completed in a robust and timely manner.

Key accountabilities include:
  • Support preparation of management accounts, group reporting, and rolling forecast with particular focus on the following: Assist with the end‑to‑end process of Fixed Asset accounting, including leased right of use assets. Ensure the creation of assets comply with internal guidelines and financial reporting standards. Manage the fixed assets sub‑ledger in an active manner through the month end activities and perform regular fixed asset inventory checks.
  • Collaborate with external advisors to prepare and submit the annual Research & Development (R&D) Tax Credit claim to HMRC, ensuring compliance with the agreed methodology.
  • Collaborate with external advisors to maximise the capital allowances available on all fixed asset additions, ensuring full compliance and maximum benefit.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are reviewed to agreed deadlines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly.
  • Key player in month end / year end close process, including journal entries, variance analysis, insightful commentaries and preparation of reporting packs.
  • Gain an understanding of the Financial Regulations and assist with associated internal/external reporting.
  • Undertake ad hoc assignments for Financial Reporting and FP&A team, as necessary.
The person:

To be considered for this role, you will need experience within a similar position. Qualified or working towards completion of your CIMA/ACCA/ACA with strong MS excel skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. You will be pro‑active and a quick learner and used to managing workloads to meet time constraint deadlines. You will be hungry to develop and progress within your accounting career and comfortable working within a team environment but also on your own initiative.
