A leading engineering recruitment agency is seeking a skilled contractor in power electronics. This role focuses on creating schematic drawings, managing components using cloud-based tools, and designing drive circuits. Ideal candidates should have expertise in Altium Designer and solid experience with microcontroller boards. This remote contract offers an exciting opportunity to work in the automotive industry.
Qualifications
- Significant practical experience with Altium Designer.
- Ownership of an active Altium license.
- Experience creating schematic drawings from various formats.
Responsibilities
- Create schematic drawings from PDF-format schematics.
- Add parts to cloud A365 for component management.
- Route power electronics and design drive circuits.
Skills

Outside IR35. Remote Contract - Must be UK based.
- Utilising Altium Designer to create schematic drawings from PDF-format schematics.
- Adding parts to cloud A365, ensuring efficient and organised component libraries.
- Routing power electronics up to 3 kW, handling 400V DC / 230V AC systems.
- Designing and routing power electronics drive circuits, including gate drivers.
- Implementing galvanic isolation on PCBs.
- Working on microcontroller boards up to six layers with signals reaching 100 MHz.
- Routing small power switching power supplies.
- Applying basic EMC layout routing and component placement techniques.
- Managing tasks using the Jira platform.
- Expertise in Altium Designer with significant practical experience.
- Ownership of an active Altium license with A365 access.
- Proficiency in cloud-based part management on A365.
- Experience in creating schematic drawings from various formats.
- Solid understanding of power electronics and related routing techniques.
- Experience with microcontroller board designs and high-frequency signals.
- Knowledge of basic EMC principles and effective layout practices.
- Ability to efficiently handle tasks using the Jira platform.
