About the Role

This is a hands-on position in a regulated UK insurance intermediary with international reach. The Senior Financial Controller will play a key role in strengthening the finance function and supporting the organisation\'s growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage broker commission reconciliation and processing
• Group debtors management
• Oversee Group Life invoicing and month-end close (to day +5)
• Conduct internal financial audits; support both UK and Group audits
• Assist with FCA reporting, Group tax, and consolidated reporting
• Manage treasury routines and cashflow processes
• Oversee Borderaux reporting to insurers and reinsurers
• Participate in Finance Committee meetings
• Act as deputy (2IC) to the Head of Finance
• Support claims adjudication (UK & EU)

What You\'ll Bring

• ACA/ACCA/CA(SA) qualified with 3-5 years\' post-qualification experience
• Minimum of 5 years\' experience in Financial Services/Insurance (UK market exposure highly advantageous)
• Strong technical skills:
  • Financial/management accounting, reconciliations, and controls
  • Knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
