We are recruiting a remote Health and Safety Advisor to join our QHSE Department.
This remote role provides exposure to various sectors, sites, and industries, including education, healthcare, venues, and retail. It offers ongoing professional development with CPD, working with experienced UK&I QHSE team members.
We seek someone passionate about occupational health and safety, who can ensure legislative compliance and drive positive change. The ideal candidate will advise, guide, support, and coach operational staff.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to operational managers on health and safety issues, ensuring standards are met.
- Traveling to various sites to provide advice and guidance.
- Monitoring and managing accidents and incidents using the reporting system.
- Attending internal and customer meetings on behalf of the QHSE department.
- Providing advice on environmental and quality issues under guidance.
- Conducting internal audits as per the audit plan.
- Supporting other departments within the QHSE team.
- Communicating proactively on QHSE matters and preparing reports and briefs.
- Assisting with accident and incident investigations on-site.
- Adapting to emerging challenges.
- Supporting delivery of QHSE strategic objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Helping the business manage QHSE matters effectively and take corrective actions.
- Liaising with enforcement authorities as needed.
- Building relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with the QHSE team to ensure consistent support across the business.

About You:
- Right to work in the UK.
- Secondary education with high numeracy and literacy levels.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- At least 12 months UK experience applying health and safety standards and legislation.
- TECH IOSH status.
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance and statutory requirements.
- Practical safety management experience.
- Experience investigating significant events.
- Understanding of civil claims and criminal enforcement.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication with all customer levels.
- Proactive customer relationship management skills.

- Full UK driver’s license.
