Job summary

A specialist recruitment consultancy is seeking an Aircraft Fitter for a 12-month contract in the Bristol area. The role requires an engineering apprenticeship and offers competitive pay. Responsibilities include working from engineering instructions, using power tools, and adhering to Health and Safety standards. Ideal candidates should have relevant fitting experience and an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

Aircraft Fitter

12 Month Contract

Based in the Bristol Area

Offering £26.92ph Inside IR35

Shift pattern of 6:30am-3:45pm Monday-Thursday

Requirements

Do you hold an engineering apprenticeship? Do you hold an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent?

If your answers are yes to these, then this could be the role for you!

Responsibilities
  • Working from engineering instructions and understanding Aircraft Drawings
  • General tasks include the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing
  • 1st party certification will be required following successful completion of the relevant courses
  • You may need to work in a confined space (tank work), which includes restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval-shaped manholes

  • Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship
  • An ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • An openness to continuous improvement processes and new ways of working
  • Knowledge and a high regard for Health and Safety standards
  • Fitting experience
