A healthcare institution in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a Consultant Urological Surgeon to expand their service across multiple sites. The role involves managing pelvic cancer-related work, performing surgeries including Da Vinci Robotic Prostatectomies, and supervising junior staff. Ideal candidates will have CCT or CESR qualifications. A supportive environment with opportunities for professional development awaits.
We are looking for 3 Consultant Urological Surgeons post at MSE Hospitals with Southend Hospital as the base site. Our Urology Service has been given the exciting opportunity to expand across all three sites and support our growth in referrals and build on our fantastic team.
The three consultant urologists will require to be confident to carry out pelvic cancer work with subspecialisation in prostate cancer and Da Vinci Robotic Prostatectomies with additional subspecialty interests to complement the department. These would include bladder cancer and general urology. This post would suit a CCT or CESR holder for a substantive position or a fixed locum position for someone with clear plans to obtain specialist registration.
The purpose of this post is to provide and co-ordinate an effective cancer urology service and to develop a sub-specialty interest that complements the department. They are also expected to take part in all departmental activities, including on-call, audit and teaching.
