Description du poste
A career without limits

As the nation’s flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain.

It’s something we’ve been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world’s first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.

We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The role

A Technical Engineer with strong understanding of electronics and basic programming concepts is sought, to become part of the Avionics & Flight Data team. This is a dynamic role in a design and operational support area where team working is encouraged. Current projects include: aircraft system updates to improve aircraft data connectivity and ground system software development to deliver insights to engineers; avionic upgrades to improve safety and reliability. Often operational support will take precedence, so an agile work attitude is required. The design work includes assessing International and UK regulations which could result in raising a business case and cross fleet embodiment in a short time. Review of operational aircraft data will be encouraged to complete root cause analysis of aircraft events. Sound Engineering judgement is expected as standard whilst interfacing at all levels in BA Engineering and within other BA departments. Contact with IAG Opco’s, Airframers, Regulators, Vendors and other airlines is part of the role which may result in work travel. Training will be provided but will be driven by the Engineer.
