We are actively seeking a seasoned Software Engineer II with a focus on Android development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and optimization of our innovative healthcare application, ensuring the implementation of robust and secure features that utilize location services and Maps implementation, whilst ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

• Complete the development, optimization, and maintenance of our Android application ensuring robustness and reliability.
• Implement Maps and location services effectively in our applications to ensure accurate and reliable location tracking and mapping features.
• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.
• Implement user interfaces accurately from Figma designs.
• Work on location-based features and functionalities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in Android development.
• Proficient with Kotlin and have a strong understanding of Android frameworks.
• Deep understanding of Maps implementation and location services.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Valid work authorization required.

• Knowledge of gRPC communication protocols.
• Experience in optimizing and improving the performance of Android applications.
• Solid understanding of Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

• Effective team player with the ability to collaborate and communicate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with an aptitude for learning and adapting to new technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks diligently and accurately.
