Job summary
A local authority in London is seeking an experienced Town Planner to join their Planning team on an interim basis. The role involves assessing major planning applications and contributing to significant development projects within the borough. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of planning legislation and proven experience as a Town Planner. The position offers competitive pay of £42.14 per hour through an Umbrella arrangement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Town Planner or Principal Planner within a local authority.
- Strong understanding of planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrable experience in handling major applications and enforcement matters.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage major planning applications.
- Provide professional input on major enforcement cases.
- Support development management and spatial planning.
- Contribute to planning policy development.
- Lead or support appeals and planning strategies.
