A South London local authority are seeking an experienced and proactive Strategic Lead to support their work across Housing Needs, Private Sector Housing and Partnerships. This interim role is central to delivering the borough's Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred housing services for local residents.

The postholder will provide strong strategic and operational leadership to teams responsible for homelessness prevention, private rented sector standards, and housing‑related support. Management responsibilities will include driving performance, enhancing service effectiveness, and ensuring statutory duties are met.

A key priority for this role is to reset and rebuild partnership relationships between the authority and voluntary and community sector partners. The successful candidate will foster collaborative, transparent, and outcome‑focused ways of working, enabling the delivery of joined‑up support for those at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

This role requires a confident leader with excellent stakeholder‑management skills, deep knowledge of housing legislation, and a track record of service improvement in a complex local government environment.
