Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council seeks a committed Street Outreach Worker to support its mission of ensuring rough sleeping is rare, brief, and non-recurring. You shall work across the region, conducting targeted outreach sessions and guiding individuals from the streets into safe accommodation and support.
- Deliver flexible, intelligence-led outreach across known rough-sleeping locations.
- Engage rough sleepers, complete assessments, and create tailored support plans.
- Provide housing-related support, including help with health, substance misuse, benefits, budgeting and independent living skills.
- Work closely with Housing Options, Adult Social Care and wider partners to prevent homelessness and support planned moves from institutions.
- Maintain accurate case records and participate in multi-agency meetings.
- Experience supporting vulnerable individuals in housing or care settings.
- Strong communication, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outside usual office hours for outreach sessions.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
