Street Outreach Worker - North Northamptonshire Council

Until 31 March 2026 | 37 hrs | Inside IR35

£200 p/d Umbrella | £182.72 p/d PAYE

North Northamptonshire Council seeks a committed Street Outreach Worker to support its mission of ensuring rough sleeping is rare, brief, and non-recurring. You shall work across the region, conducting targeted outreach sessions and guiding individuals from the streets into safe accommodation and support.

The Role
  • Deliver flexible, intelligence-led outreach across known rough-sleeping locations.
  • Engage rough sleepers, complete assessments, and create tailored support plans.
  • Provide housing-related support, including help with health, substance misuse, benefits, budgeting and independent living skills.
  • Work closely with Housing Options, Adult Social Care and wider partners to prevent homelessness and support planned moves from institutions.
  • Maintain accurate case records and participate in multi-agency meetings.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals in housing or care settings.
  • Strong communication, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work outside usual office hours for outreach sessions.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
