Senior Civil Engineer – Location: Leicester | Salary: Competitive + benefits
We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a leading civil engineering consultancy. You\'ll take a key role in delivering projects from small highway improvements to large residential and commercial developments.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will:
- Lead the design of highways, junctions, drainage systems, and civil infrastructure.
- Work from concept through detailed design, including S278, S38, and S104 agreements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, contractors, and statutory bodies.
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with 8+ years\' post-graduate experience.
- Strong experience in highway and junction design, drainage strategies, flood risk assessments.
- Skilled in AutoCAD, Civils 3D, 3D modelling, Vehicle Tracking, Flow/Microdrainage.
- Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN1/20, NRSWA, and adoption processes.
- Excellent communication, time management, and mentoring skills.
- Chartered status (CIHT/ICE/CIWEM) or working towards is desirable.
- Experience with public realm, active travel, cycling infrastructure, major highways, utilities coordination, or site supervision.
- Ability to produce technical reports and fee proposals.
- Work on high-profile civil engineering projects across public and private sectors.
