Civil Engineer - Dundee

Are you a civil engineer looking to make a real impact on UK infrastructure projects? We're working with a leading UK consultancy to recruit a talented Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Dundee.

In this role you will:

  • Develop detailed civil‑engineering designs, drawings and specifications to UK standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations and related assessments.
  • Manage and coordinate civil works from concept through to completion.
  • Prepare drainage, highways and earthworks calculations using software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or AutoCAD.
  • Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with design, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide project management support including budgeting, scheduling and progress reporting.
  • Perform site visits and technical oversight during construction.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, including CDM requirements.

You will be a strong fit for this position if you have:

  • A BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Practical experience in civil or infrastructure engineering in the UK.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one civil design software (e.g. Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, Revit).
  • A strong understanding of UK design standards (e.g. DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, relevant BS/EN standards).
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
