Job summary
A prominent staffing and recruitment agency is seeking a Logistics Technician for an onsite role in Slough, UK. The position involves managing inventory, coordinating deliveries, and conducting audits within a data center environment. Applicants must have a High School Diploma and at least one year of experience in supply chain or warehouse management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. The contract spans six months with a pay rate of £18-20 per hour, depending on experience.
Qualifications

- Previous datacenter experience preferred but not required.

- Completes tasks without direct supervision.
- Coordinates incoming/outgoing deliveries and inventory tracking.
- Conducts inventory cycle audits and compliance activities.
- Manages material movement and destruction of data devices.

Education
Job Title: Logistics Technician
Location: Slough, UK (onsite role)
Shift: 8 hour shift between 7 am- 7 pm
Duration: Six month contract (PAYE position inside IR35)
Pay: 18-20 pounds per hour depending on experience level
- Performs assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
- Leverages process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision.
- Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order PO receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor RMS activities).
- Ensures complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
- Performs inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity.
- Performs material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process.
- Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks.
- High School Diploma AND 1+ year(s) experience warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or related field.
- Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Preferred but not required: Previous datacenter experience.
