Job Summary

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a research nurse to join our team at Clifton Medical Centre, Rotherham.

Applications are invited from nurses with research experience, however, applications from candidates with no experience will be considered.

There has never been a more rewarding time to work within clinical research and see the immediate benefits that clinical research offers to our patients.

You will need to possess excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills, experience of caring for patients within the specialty of clinical research would be preferred but training can be provided for suitable candidates.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Practice

Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate treatment programmes that promote health and well-being.

Review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols.

Work with patients in order to support adherence on prescribed treatments.

GCP Training

Working on commercial and non-commercial studies and Pharmaceutical companies adhering to their research protocols and ensuring the studies are delivered effectively.

Attend Investigator meetings and Site Initiation meetings as appropriate.

Working closely with the Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Research Network.

Job responsibilities

Clinical Practice

Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate treatment programmes that promote health and well-being.

Review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols.

Recognise, assess and refer patients presenting with mental health needs in accordance with NSF for Mental Health.

GCP Training
