An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join our Stroke team at Aintree University Hospital. Ward 33 Acute Stroke Unit.

You must be highly motivated, innovative and have a passion for delivering outstanding care to our patients and our community.

Transforming stroke care is a priority within the NHS Long Term Plan.

The merger of services will present a number of development opportunities for staff who are passionate about the care of stroke patients to further their careers in managerial, clinical roles or advanced clinical roles.

The Acute Stroke Unit is a 34 bedded Acute Stroke Ward. The Ward accounts for a wide range of services providing Acute stroke Support and assessment, rehablitation and all aspects of inpatient care to patients.

There will be an opportunity to rotate and work across the Stroke Assessment centre, HASU and Stroke unit at Aintree.

The successful candidate would be joining a supportive and enthusiastic team who are committed to providing high standards of patient care. A full 2 week ward preceptorship will be available to the successful candidate, and support would be offered for future development.

• Under the supervision of a registered nurse, assisting the Ward/Department team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carer.
• The post holder will undertake a range of tasks and duties as delegated by the registered nurse.
