Qualifications

Job Title: Care Support Worker - Children & Adolescent Mental Health

Main duties of the job
  • Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to patients in a friendly, respectful and professional manner.
  • Promote patient dignity and privacy.
  • Assist in the orientation of patients and new staff to the ward environment
  • To support a patients basic admission procedure in preparation for clinician assessment.
  • Contribute to and interpret care plans accurately and consistently
  • Carry out delegated care tasks such as escort duty and to encourage with patient daily living activities such as personal hygiene and self care.
  • Assist at mealtimes to ensure patients have an adequate diet and a meal of their choice and bring any problems to the attention of the Registered Nurse or Shift Co-ordinator
  • Assist patients in keeping their bed areas tidy and their possessions safe.

What you'll need:

Qualifications :-

  • Must be able to pass Band 3 level Literacy and Numeracy competency at interview.
  • Qualification related to Mental Health issues

Experience :-

  • Experience of providing care (e.g. child / elderly relative)(Qualifications required to accompany individuals with 6-12 months experience)
  • Experience of working on a Children Inpatient ward.
  • Experience of working in a multi disciplinary team

or

  • Studying as a Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks clinical placements, studying towards a Mental Health Nursing degree

  • Have at least of 6 months of experience working in CAMHS in past 2 years in any UK private Hospital or Any NHS Trust
