A general practice in Stourbridge is seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join their busy team. You will assist in patient care including treatment and preventative services, and collaborate closely with an established team of nurses and healthcare professionals. The role requires management of long term conditions, wound care, and immunisations. Continuous professional development is promoted. The position is 30-37 hours per week and offers an engaging work environment catering to a diverse patient population.
WychburyMedical Group is looking for a dedicated PracticeNurse to join our team at our busy practice.
This is a post in General Practice for 30-37 hours per week, to be agreed at appointment, depending on experience and service needs. The role includes extended hours cover with a requirement to work until 8pm on Thursdays.
Join a well-established nursing team of 6 practice nurses with a range of skill mix, 2 nurse associates and 1 healthcare assistant. The Practice has a diverse patient population. We care for 22,000 patients across three surgery sites, with some home visiting required.
We are seeking applicants with some practice nurse experience with management of long term conditions and experience providing essential treatment room services as described in the job description. Experience in wound care and immunisations is essential.

JobSummary:
To assist medical personnel in the care of Practice patients to include treatment, preventative care, screening and patient education. To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team. Care will be provided both in the Practice and community setting.

Following appropriate training, undertake the collection, storage and despatch of pathological specimens including intravenous blood samples, swabs, smears etc and ensure the cleanliness of any equipment so used. Perform any investigatory procedures requested by the GPs.
