Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their team based in Norfolk. This position involves supporting high-security civils projects, requiring occasional travel to assist other sites as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with SHEQ standards.
• Offer guidance and support to management and teams on SHEQ issues, including creating and implementing site-specific policies.
• Manage permitting and inspections, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, developing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Coordinate SHEQ training to ensure team readiness for safe operations.
• Monitor and report on key SHEQ performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Holds IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications (or is working towards them).
• Qualified in SMSTS (Units 1-3).
• Experience in utility or construction site environments with strong knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations.
• Preferred qualifications include Lifting Operations accreditation.
• Skilled in preparing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and incident reports.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Physically fit and detail-oriented, capable of managing responsibilities under pressure.
