We're looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer with significant HVAC construction experience to join our team at Heathrow Airport delivering a major MEP upgrade package at Terminal 2. This is a great opportunity to work on a high–profile project in a dynamic, fast–paced environment with a highly regarded contractor.

This is a freelance contract role based full time on site at Heathrow and expected to last a minimum 6–12 months.

• Manage all aspects of the mechanical package, with a primary focus on HVAC systems.

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.

• Oversee project budgets and schedules, identifying and mitigating any potential risks.

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to an airport setting.

• Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure work is completed to the highest standards.

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer within a construction enivornment , with a strong emphasis on HVAC.

• Previous experience working in a live, operational airport environment is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and health & safety standards.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem–solving skills.

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent professional qualification.
