Job summary

A leading facilities management company is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance across various sites in Slough and Reading. The ideal candidate will hold a trades qualification in Carpentry or Joinery and have prior building maintenance experience. Responsibilities include completing maintenance schedules, responding to service calls, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. This role offers a salary of £32,421 per annum along with benefits, including a company car and pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Hold a trades qualification in Carpentry/Joinery/Building.
• Previous experience in building maintenance is essential.
• Ability to complete repairs and maintenance within agreed timescales.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across allocated sites.
• Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
• Respond positively to service call requests and assess job requirements.
• Ensure compliance documentation is completed and up to date.
• Be part of a 24/7 call out rota.
