Qualified English Teacher – Secondary School – Leicester

GSL Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher for a secondary school in Leicester. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate, offering a chance to inspire and engage students in the study of English Language and Literature.

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills. You will plan and assess lessons effectively, ensuring all students are supported in their learning while fostering a positive classroom environment.

• Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Encourage a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking.
• Differentiate lessons to support the needs of all learners.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to enhance student learning.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• A degree in English or a related field.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 English in a UK secondary school.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Pay to scale, based on experience and qualifications.
• Support from a dedicated GSL Education consultant.
