Job summary
A leading UK construction supplier in Bedford is seeking a Yard Operative to assist customers, handle deliveries, and keep the yard organized. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team. A forklift license is a bonus. The role offers 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a company bonus scheme, and opportunities for training and development.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers in the yard by providing product knowledge.
- Handle deliveries and organize yard materials.
- Load and unload vehicles in collaboration with drivers.
- Maintain a safe and tidy yard for customers and staff.
As a Yard Operative, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the yard.
- Helping customers find what they need – offering friendly, practical advice and sharing your knowledge of our products
- Handling deliveries – checking in goods, storing them safely and keeping everything organised
- Loading and unloading vehicles – working closely with the branch and driving teams to keep everything moving
- Looking after our yard – keeping it safe, tidy and secure for our customers and colleagues

Got a forklift licence? That's a bonus – but it's definitely not a dealbreaker.
