An innovative animation production company is seeking a trainee to assist in various production tasks, including maintaining schedules and attending meetings. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in animation production over 13 months. The successful candidate will need excellent communication and organizational skills. Remote work is involved, with some required travel to the East Midlands/South East.

Animate Projects Productions Limited (APPL) is an independent animation production company. It is a new sister company to Animate Projects, an organisation that exists to support artists to experiment, collaborate and produce bold animation projects. APPL is currently producing:
Animate supports artists to experiment, collaborate and produce bold animation projects. Led by Abigail Addison and Gary Thomas, since 2007 they have produced high-quality, innovative, experimental, and engaging films. Their award-winning productions include: The Debutante by Elizabeth Hobbs, which was Oscar shortlisted and won the Animated Short Jury Award at South by South West. And Granny Would Dance by Maryam Mohajer, which won Best of Festival and Best Animation awards at Aesthetica Short Film Festival.
APPL is looking to recruit a trainee who has a passion for artistic animated work, experience with animation production, and is keen to develop a career in production. Over the course of 13 months, you will see the journey of a short animation production as it moves from pre-production through to delivery and distribution. You will support us with the production and delivery of our films that are in production, plus assist with other development activity. You will be mentored by the producer and be an integral part of the production teams.
