A leading food manufacturing company in Hull and East Yorkshire is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure smooth production operations. This full-time role involves maintaining and repairing machinery, with responsibilities including preventative maintenance, compliance with food safety standards, and record-keeping. The ideal candidate will possess a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification and hands-on experience in food manufacturing. The position offers a competitive salary of 40k with benefits including holidays and a contributory pension.

A good food manufacturing site is seeking a hands‑on Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep production running smoothly. You’ll maintain, repair, and optimize machinery while supporting continuous improvement.
- Maintain and repair plant and equipment, diagnosing and resolving breakdowns quickly
- Deliver preventative maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with food safety GMP hygiene and H&S standards
- Maintain accurate records and assist senior management as required
- Flexible approach with on‑call duties during peak periods
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
- Hands‑on experience in food manufacturing
- 16th / 17th / 18th edition or equivalent
- Strong problem‑solving, organisation and communication skills
- NEBOSH / IOSH food hygiene qualification
- Previous experience in a food production engineering role
- Monday to Friday with weekend flexibility
- 28 days holiday incl. bank holidays (worked in lieu); contributory pension
