Job summary

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a chilled food environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microbiology, HACCP, and traceability systems.
  • Experience with major retailers’ technical standards and BRC audit processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and flexibility to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with legislation, BRC standards, and customer requirements through GAP analysis.
  • Manage and maintain HACCP documentation, meetings, and validation records.
  • Oversee internal audit schedules and non-conformance tracking.
  • Support customer and supplier interfaces, including complaint handling.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and compile technical reports.

The Opportunity

Walkers Sausage Co. is committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and compliant food products. We are looking for a dedicated Quality Systems Manager to join our Technical team and ensure robust food safety and quality management systems across the business. As Quality Systems Manager, you will oversee food safety compliance, manage HACCP systems, and lead technical reporting. You’ll play a key role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring adherence to legislation, BRC standards, and customer codes of practice.

  • Ensure compliance with legislation, BRC standards, and customer requirements through GAP analysis and system updates.
  • Manage and maintain HACCP documentation, meetings, and validation records.
  • Oversee internal audit schedules, non-conformance tracking, and trend analysis for reporting.
  • Support customer and supplier interfaces, including complaint handling and audit responses.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and compile technical reports for the business.
