Job summary
A leading technical recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Project Engineer to manage electrical projects across multiple FMCG manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include overseeing projects from design to installation, leading electrical teams, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG manufacturing and expertise in LV power distribution and control systems. This role offers a contract rate of £45-£55 per hour.
Qualifications
- Experience managing electrical projects in FMCG environments.
- Strong knowledge of LV power distribution and control systems.
- Ability to oversee installations and ensure compliance with standards.

Gap Technical is recruiting an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Project Engineer to support electrical projects across multiple FMCG food manufacturing facilities.
You will manage electrical projects from design through to installation and commissioning, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required safety and quality standards. The role includes team leadership, client liaison, estimating, and full P&L responsibility.
- Deliver electrical projects from inception to completion
- Plan labour, order materials, and manage site activities
- Lead and supervise electrical teams (2-10 operatives)
- Act as main client contact and manage stakeholder relationships
- Produce estimates, quotations, and tender submissions
- Oversee installations and fault resolution
- Generate RAMS and ensure compliance with BS 7671 and NICEIC standards
- Manage project budgets and financial performance
- Strong FMCG manufacturing background
