Are you a proactive Compliance Manager looking to oversee and manage all aspects of regulatory compliance.
As Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the firm meets its obligations under the SRA Standards and Regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) legislation, data protection (GDPR), and other relevant frameworks. You will also lead the handling and resolution of client complaints, supporting a culture of compliance and risk awareness firm-wide.
- Develop, implement, and maintain firm-wide compliance policies and procedures
- Monitor compliance with SRA Standards, AML, GDPR, and financial crime prevention laws
- Lead investigation and resolution of client complaints in line with requirements
- Manage processes relating to professional negligence claims and liaise with insurers
- Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews
- Deliver training and guidance on compliance to staff at all levels
- Maintain compliance registers and support risk mitigation strategies
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Board and regulatory bodies
- Assist with professional indemnity insurance renewals and risk assessments
- Proven compliance experience in the UK legal sector
- Strong understanding of SRA Standards, AML, GDPR, and related regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confident communicator able to engage across all levels of the firm
