A healthcare consultancy is seeking a Band 5 Team Leader to support adults with severe and profound learning disabilities on the beautiful Island of Guernsey. The role includes leading a team of support workers and ensuring the well-being and dignity of service users. Applications are invited from committed and experienced Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals or Social Workers to join the Severe & Profound Adult Learning Disabilities Residential Home team as Band 5 Team Leader within the Adult Learning Disabilities Service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
This Home provides support to service users with severe, profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex physical and sensory disabilities, and behaviour that challenge, including those who require 24 hour care.
Reporting to the Band 6 Deputy Manager, you will provide and oversee care and support for your Service Users, leading and motivating the Band 3 and Band 4 Support Workers in your team. The home aims to promote the wellbeing, independence and quality of life of service users, while ensuring their safety and dignity. This may include cleaning, shopping, washing ironing, cooking, personal care, managing finances, accessing the community. Service users are encouraged to participate in these activities with the staff.
The current Band 5 salary range is £38,744 to £49,970 plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH. Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

Providing an excellent Learning Disabilities Service, supported by modern equipment and reliant on Healthcare professionals recruited to a high standard.
Registered Nurse, AHP or Social Worker with appropriate UK statutory professional registration as applicable. Current or recent experience supporting Adults with Autism and/or Learning Disability. Newly or soon-to-qualify Learning Disabilities Nurses looking to start their post-registration career as part of this team may be considered. Current clean driving licence. Personal qualities to include; reliability, honesty, patience, resilience, motivation and leadership skills.
