About the Role
A leading multi-utility service provider within the civil engineering sector is seeking an experienced P6 Planner to join their growing team, supporting major infrastructure and reinstatement projects across the region.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established organisation delivering end-to-end solutions in utilities, telecoms civils, reinstatement, and infrastructure works.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring operational efficiency and project delivery across a fast-paced portfolio of works.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and project managers to define scope and milestones
Track and update schedules based on real-time progress
Identify potential delays or risks and propose mitigation strategies
Ensure clear communication of project timelines to internal teams and stakeholders
Support the project team with planning insight and guidance throughout the lifecycle
Requirements
Previous experience as a Planner, Project Controller, or Scheduler within civils or utilities
Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential
Strong understanding of project planning principles and critical path methodology
Able to liaise confidently with both operational teams and senior stakeholders
Excellent time management, organisation, and analytical skills
Degree or professional background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar (preferred)
Relevant certifications such as PMI-SP or PSP are advantageous
