Overview

We are looking for a highly organized Materials Planner to join a leading manufacturing company for a 3 month contract. In this role, you will manage production schedules, maintain inventory levels, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in production planning and inventory management.

Responsibilities
  • Key Responsibilities: Production Scheduling - Create and manage production orders based on sales forecasts and business needs.
  • Inventory Management - Maintain accurate inventory levels for materials and parts, ensuring everything is available for production.
  • Pick List - Prepare and issue lists for warehouse and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Transaction Monitoring - Ensure all production and material transactions are accurately recorded in the MRP system.
  • Issue Reporting - Report any risks related to production or materials and work with teams to find solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement - Suggest and implement improvements to streamline processes.
  • KPI Reporting - Track and report on key performance metrics.
  • BOM Management - Keep Bill of Materials (BOM) data updated to support planning and forecasting.
  • Procurement Coordination - Work with the procurement team to ensure accurate and timely ordering of materials.
  • Engineering Change Management - Manage changes to BOMs and coordinate with relevant teams.
  • Project Updates - Provide status updates on material availability and project timelines.
  • Qualifications - Experience in production planning, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.
  • Team and Communication - Ability to work well in teams and communicate effectively.
  • ERP/MRP Familiarity - Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, ideally Navision.
