Are you an Mechanical or Maintenance Manager looking for a prestigious contract with one of the UK's top universities planning and overseeing Maintenance on site?
Join a top UK Universities Estates & Facilities Management team, overseeing mechanical plant and systems across a diverse and historic estate. From listed heritage buildings to state-of-the-art research facilities, this is a technically varied role where your leadership and expertise will keep the campus running safely and efficiently.
- Lead and manage a small team of engineers and contractors across planned and reactive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate CAFM data and asset records.
- Ensure statutory compliance.
- Deliver and maintain PPM schedules and inspection records.
- Scope, tender, and oversee small mechanical projects and refurbishments.
- Liaise closely with departments, consultants, and contractors to ensure works are safe, compliant, and within budget.
- Provide leadership, motivation, and professional development to the maintenance team.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Building Services or related Engineering field.
- Proficient in CAFM systems.
- Track record in mechanical maintenance management within estates, FM or similar.
- Strong understanding of H&S legislation, statutory inspection regimes, and compliance documentation.
- Confident team leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent desirable.
