We have an opportunity for a Senior Environmental Advisor to join our Energy South team, to play a key role in delivering environmental excellence across our high voltage/substation projects. You will be instrumental in addressing major challenges and driving sustainable innovation. This is a dynamic and hands-on role that requires excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will work closely with colleagues, clients, and statutory regulators to ensure environmental compliance, risk mitigation, and continual improvement.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved with…

1. Provide expert environmental advice across all project phases, ensuring compliance with regulations, permits, and industry best practices.
2. Undertake environmental impact assessments and develop plans aligned with our Environmental Management System.
3. Ensure all works adhere to legal and environmental/ecological requirements, minimizing impact and promoting sustainability.
4. Manage and apply for necessary permits/consents/licenses to ensure works can be completed in a compliant manner.
5. Conduct inspections and audits in line with ISO 14001, environmental legislation, and permit conditions, ensuring non-conformances are addressed.
6. Offer incident management support, advising operational teams on compliance and corrective actions.
