Job summary
A leading manufacturer in the UK is seeking an experienced Electrician / Wireman for a 12-week contract in Burscough. Responsibilities include interpreting electrical schematics, assembling control panels, and ensuring compliance with wiring standards. Candidates must have knowledge of the 18th Edition wiring regulations and experience with installation wiring. The role offers standard working hours from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Assemble and wire control panels for incinerator systems.
- Work closely with engineering to ensure correct wiring.

Electrician / Wireman
Certain Advantage are hiring on behalf of our leading manufacturer who build systems that solve complex waste challenges around the world.
An experienced Electrician / Wireman is required for 12 weeks to work out of their facility in Burscough. Commutable from Liverpool, St Helens, Preston and Southport and surrounding areas. The work will involve the assembly and wiring of controls panels and field wiring of complete incinerator systems / lines.
Standard hours of work areMon to Thur 08.00 - 16.45 / Fri 08.00 - 12.45pm).
Read and interpret electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings and wiring diagrams to perform complex panel wiring tasks.
Work with control gear, PLC`s, relays, terminal blocks.
Fit trunking, cable management systems, baskets according to layout / drawings.
Work closely with engineering to ensure components wired correctly to specifications.
Identify any errors in drawings and report and communicate to the engineering manager.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
18thEdition wiring regulations (essential).
Additional site / field related installation wiring.
Strong ability to read from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Familiar with tools and test equipment such as multi meters, crimp tools, wire strippers.
Capable of working independently and meeting production deadlines.
