Support Worker
Zusammenfassung
A recruitment organization is looking for a committed Support Worker in Exeter to provide vital assistance to service users and help them build independence. The role involves a holistic approach to support, collaboration with other agencies, and record-keeping. Candidates need an enhanced DBS check, a valid driving license, and experience working with individuals affected by homelessness. This is a temporary position offering a competitive hourly rate.
Qualifikationen
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Must have a driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Experience working with individuals affected by homelessness.
Aufgaben
- Support individuals in becoming independent.
- Collaborate with various agencies to address specific needs.
- Aid service users in exploring educational and employment options.
- Maintain detailed records and implement action plans.

Temporary ongoing contract - minimum 3 months

- Take a holistic approach to support the service and help people to move forward with the skills to be independent in managing on their own
- Work closely with other agencies around specific needs including mental health, substance misuse, benefits, private letting agents and landlords and/or others.
- Assist service users in exploring options around education, training, and employment
- Support a wide range of service users from varying backgrounds with varying support needs
- Maintain records and putting into place action plans
- Enhanced DBS (adults and children) on the update service
- Driving license and access to own vehicles
- Previously worked with people affected by homelessness
