A leading construction company in the UK is seeking an HV Cable Engineer to lead the design delivery for Cable System Projects up to 400kV. The role requires understanding of electrical engineering principles, cable technology, and safety regulations. Responsibilities include developing HV cabling system specifications, performing technical calculations, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical Power Engineering and relevant experience in the energy sector, particularly in cable design and installation.
The HV Cable Engineer will lead the design delivery for Cable System Projects up to 400kV, for all stages of the project : FEED, Tendering, Detailed design to project handover. This role requires an understanding of electrical engineering principles, industry and relevant codes & standards, and regulatory requirements, cable technology and safety regulations, and to ensure the reliable and safe operation of HV cable infrastructure.
