Experienced and skilled Tool Design Leader to manage and guide a team of tool designers. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire tool design lifecycle, including conceptualization, development, implementation, and continuous improvement. The primary objective is to deliver tooling solutions that are efficient, precise, and aligned with production requirements.

  • Lead and mentor a team of 15‑20 tool designers, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing work environment.
  • Oversee the design and development of tooling solutions, such as fixtures, jigs, gauges, and dies, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Utilize NX CAD/CAM/CAE software extensively to create and refine designs while maintaining guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure tooling solutions integrate seamlessly with production processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and quality using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in tooling design.
  • Utilize ATP (Automated Tooling Program) software to manage design and build requests, mentor users on software abilities.
  • Provide tooling cost quotes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in tool design, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in tool design.

Salary range: $98,000.00 – $131,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan. This posting is expected to close on Nov 25, 2025.
